Band Recommendations #3 - iLiKETRAiNS
They’re the first Leeds band I’ve done too (I’m from Leeds, y’know). They’re also gloomy. Mega fucking gloomy. But good gloomy. It’s hard not to pity yourself and wallow away whilst listening to these…. but it doesn’t feel bad. It feels more like self-reflection.You will find me in the darkest corners. And I will ask you to leave.
iLiKETRAiNS - Sirens
It’s beautifully dark. The key change in Sirens feels like you’re having your soul sucked out of you, and if you watch the video too, you feel drained. Yet its all worth it.
Yet their most recent album, The Shallows, feels the same, yet its…. groovy. It feels like its impossible not to bop your head along with it. And thats why its so good. Its dark, yet you can dance to it. And this is why I like iLiKETRAiNS
